GOLF COURSE

 

Probably the worst start to the year for a very long time has caused frustration and lost golfing opportunities for many of us.  There may also be repercussions for the start of the competition season with work on the course being severely hampered by the weather.

 

 

COMPETITIONS

 

In all probability it may not be possible for the Winter League to be completed in all divisions, so keep an eye on the notice boards for updates on the situation.

 

 

SOCIAL

 

The next event on the social calendar is a St George’s Day Quiz on Friday 23^rd April.  Further details to follow – but please make a note of this date in your diary.

 

 

DINNER DANCE AND AGM

 

Tickets are still available for the Annual Dinner Dance on Saturday 13^th March.  Priced at £30 per person, this includes a fabulous 5-course meal and entertainment. Your support would be most appreciated.

 

 

 

 

There is still time for anyone interested in standing for Committee to put their nominations to Dave

Bond prior to the AGM on Monday 12^th April.  Once again, support in running the Club would be most welcome.

 

 

GENERAL

 

Tripartite – in order to assist with team selection, it is proposed firstly to determine interested parties from each category and, in the result of over-subscription, to select the team by using statistics on performance in competitions prior to Tripartite Week.

 

Ronnie Hyatt – a Texas Shambles is being organised for Saturday 20^th March by Maurice Thornton, at the end of which there will be a presentation to one of the finest players to grace our Club.  So come along, have a game and join us in paying tribute to a fine ambassador for Atherstone Golf Club.
